Everyone who has already sailed with Carnival is automatically enrolled in the VIFP Club, but to view your loyalty status and other information you need to activate your account. Unlike some loyalty programs, your VIFP Club Points never expire. So, if you earn 36 points with the program and achieve gold tier status, you’ll still have 36 points when you take your next cruise, even if it’s several years later. Carnival VIFP benefits will not be extended to passengers sailing with other lines in the Carnival Corporation portfolio. Sailing with those lines will allow passengers to accrue points under the loyalty programs of those respective lines and not under the VIFP program.

On Royal Caribbean, for instance, you are able to earn two points per night of the cruise if you're sailing in a suite. No matter what cabin you book onboard any of Carnival Cruise Line's ships, you will only receive one point per night. Once you’ve sailed on Carnival for at least 25 days, you’ll receive Carnival Gold status and be eligible for a complimentary appreciation drink on cruises of 5 nights or longer.
Carnival VIFP (Very Important Fun Person) Cruise Loyalty Program
With higher status, a passenger earns perks and rewards, including everything from special fares to freebies on the ship to expedited boarding and much more. Another good, but one-time-only perk of Diamond status is a complimentary meal for two at a specialty restaurant of your choice. Even at the highest Diamond level of its VIFP Club program, Carnival still is a little stingy with the perks.
I'm cruising with friends/my spouse, and we're at different loyalty tiers. Can perks be shared?
With increased cruise days come increased benefits, and this is where things start getting good. When you initially sign up for the VIFP Club, you’ll be known as a “Blue Card,” a first-time Carnival cruiser. You’ll receive Carnival’s VIFP Club newsletter at this level and qualify for special cruise offers.
Additionally, some guests who previously received Platinum cards advanced to the VIFP Club's Diamond level. All guests who sailed with Carnival fewer than 10 times were placed in the level that corresponds with their VIFP Points (i.e., cruise days). Guests with fewer than 25 VIFP Points were placed in the new Red level. Those who have earned VIFP Points were placed in the Gold level. Carnival Cruise Line’s VIFP Club—or Very Important Fun Person Club—is their exclusive loyalty program designed to reward you, for each time you set sail.

You’ll receive a Gold VIFP pin on every cruise in addition to the Red benefits. Long cruises and spontaneous getaways will get you to the next level quicker than cruising once yearly. If you notice that some of your past cruises are missing from your VIFP account, you can submit a request to have them added. Go to the bottom of the ‘My Cruises,’ page and click ‘Claim a Past Cruise’ in the ‘Missing a Cruise? There are a couple of ways to find your Carnival VIFP number.

Carnival’s VIFP Club FAQs
I have never had my middle name in my Carnival information until that January cruise but have always had my middle name on passport and driver's license. It might have been picked up with a change to the process of getting picture and info from the passport. I do not know, but I do know what my PVP told me and what she had to do to get my account back in order. I thought that this breakdown shows the difference between paid for cruises and free cruises that you may have been on.

Instead, they do not need to be encumbered by toting bags around the ship for lunch, checking in to their muster station, and getting oriented before staterooms are made available to everyone. I think this happened because Carnival is getting ready to launch changes to the VIFP program, and they're in the process of updating the VIFP webpages for that. I noticed where I look at "my cruises," it now shows a VIFP point breakdown with cruise day points and VIFP points. I don't remember this ever showing a breakdown like that in the past. Why show a breakdown like that if it isn't meaningful?

What a shame, I have been on 3 cruises and I don't count for anything... We paid for all 4 of ours and the points are correct so I'm just passing on their observations. I imagine enough "free cruises" (like casino cruises) might change some folks level.
Once you set up an account, you’ll automatically begin receiving offers from Carnival via email. In your account profile, you’ll be able to access what level you’re currently on and what benefits you’ll receive based on that level. You can also see a history of cruises you’ve previously taken and how many points each awarded you.
Are you enjoying a 14-night Carnival Journey cruise to Hawaii? You’ll immediately start receiving cruise offers from Carnival by email, and you may be eligible for discounts or special offers on your first cruise but can opt out at any time. While you might think you’d earn higher status for spending more money on your cruise, that’s not the case.
Cruise line loyalty programs are typically about “what’s in it for me? ” but Diamond cruisers on Carnival can help others just by cruising. Carnival Platinum benefits include a special event invitation to the Platinum and Diamond VIFP Party on cruises of 5 days or more, offering complimentary drinks and appetizers.
